This is a rare time I can see my 3 and 5 year old want to know "What happens next" in this story as I have to read a little at a time to hold their attention. I love this book. The character is beautiful and it teaches emotional awareness and science at the same time. Excellent work and hats off to the author!
My daughter got this book when she was much younger. She read it and liked it a lot. Now that she is a teen she really likes it even more because the message has come alive !! Tomorrow she will read it to classroom of 3rd Graders. And she said to me, mom you got go do the review on this book that you never did, because its so inspiring to every child. It reminds every child that greatness is inside of them.
A clever and unique approach to generating interest in STEM -- I don't think I have seen anything quite like it ! Well done!
My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.

This book is so inspiring. I read it at a friend's house and I had to get it for my grandchildren. 4 yo and 7yo were totally engaged. It teaches project development through several stages in a way children can understand. Such a fun book.
This is a wonderful story about innovation and perseverance and it is important in the role models it depicts. My two sons love this book and we read it weekly, so keep in mind that while there is certainly a lot about this book to inspire girls, its a great book for boys too. And its important for little boys to see a range of role models in STEM to challenge societal biases about what a typical innovator looks like.

My daughter has loved both of the Abby books. The story and illustrations are engaging and inspiring. Thanks to these books, my daughter knows shes a future inventor!

This book and the other from this author is truly a plus for me. I introduced it to my daughter at just 2 years old and shared it with my summer campers too! This book is a must have especially for young curious readers. It sparks inspiration in the tiny mind to do more and that they can achieve great things! Can't wait for more Abby Invent books.
Wonderful Story
I love this story and Abby's perseverance throughout. A wonderful representation of a girl who takes initiative to invent something useful no matter how many setbacks she goes through. A must have in any classroom and library!
Abby and her friends love to color. But each time, its the same problem : the crayons break ! Inspired by Inventor Maya, the young girl decides to create the first unbreakable crayons.
This book is great ! Through the misadventures of Abby, the child (and the adult !) can learn the progression of the scientific method. We follow Abby through the very beginning of the problem, the crayons break, to the achievement of her discovery, the invention of the first unbreakable crayons. Each step of the work is very well described and the book is really enjoyable to read.
The book is written by Dr. Arlyne Simon, who is a scientist herself. I really love how she encourages children to be inventors as well. The illustrations by Diana Necsulescu are really fun and colorful.
